From the Land of Great Type

While searching the widths, lengths and depths of European type producers, I found yet another high quality type foundry coming out of a single-person-enterprise from Portugal: Dino dos Santos’ DSType, located close to the second largest city, Porto. His classical modern typefaces have a certain twist to their appearance making any piece of text they are set with unique. Readability and a very graphic approach to each individual character and the family as a whole seem to be coordinated for premium font families. It’s definitely worth browsing through his product line and burst in jealousy after gazing at thos fonts not offered for licensing! As with his competitor FTF DSType has been working with a renowned range of customers, among them Courrier International, Vestigio, or the city of Porto.
